Why do you want to learn to surf quickly? To experience incredible sensations. And there's no better feeling than gliding over it with your feet firmly planted in the abyss of your longboard's "nose." This is called "Noseriding." And if you haven't tried it, you have to!
Learn to Surf Quickly – How to Do a Noseride
Taking advantage of our new collaboration with Rising Sea Soul, this Friday we're here to give you a new tip to improve your longboarding skills.
If you want to learn how to do a noseride this year, we have some tips that can help you:
- The right equipment: We always emphasize this, but it's the truth. You need a board with at least 19" wide in the nose and 16" in the tail. It's also important that it has little rocker to be able to walk easily on your board. Our Mini Longboard model is a good example of what you need.
- Wave placement: As you walk forward on your board, you'll see that the board picks up speed. That's why it's important to be as close as possible to the foam (pocket) when you're going to do a noseride. This way, you'll accelerate on your board without going to the part of the wave that has no power. Otherwise, the wave will stop carrying you.
- Reaching the Nose: It seems obvious, but the most important thing to be able to reach the nose is to know how to walk on the board. For that, take a look at our tip on how to improve your cross-step.
Put these three tips into practice, and you'll be able to experience a noseride sooner than you think!
