The exercises every surfer should do before surfing
A good warm-up before entering the water is essential to avoid injuries and make the most of your time in the water.
Here's a video from Lucas, a surfing fitness trainer, showing two very useful exercises to do before entering the water. We highly recommend it.
In addition, we complete the warm-up with these three simple exercises!
- Exercise 1: Shoulder Rotations: Perform 10 forward and 10 backward shoulder rotations.
- Exercise 2: Lower Back Stretch: Get on all fours, arch your back up and then down, repeat 15 times.
- Exercise 3: Hip Stretch: Bring one leg forward into a lunge position, hold for 15 seconds, then switch legs. Repeat 3 times per side.
