Fibertech Technology: The balance between lightness and resistance

For our new Fibertech collection to make a difference, we have selected materials that forgive the mistakes of a progressing surfer but respond like a professional board when you demand it.

In short, the new Fibertech collection not only aims for you to surf better, but also to have a board that accompanies you for years in your progression.

Find your partner: The new fiberglass models from the Fibertech collection

1. APOLLO 6’4 – Your entry into the Shortboard world

The Apollo is our "aggressive transition shortboard." It's the logical step if you're already riding a hybrid and want to start drawing real maneuvers without losing paddle power.

  • Who is it for? Surfers who have already downsized their board, who can already turn, and are looking to start with more technical maneuvers.
  • The problem it solves: It avoids the common mistake of transitioning to a shortboard that is too small and radical. The Apollo maintains width and volume so you don't feel like the board "punishes" you on every wave.
  • Feelings: Responsive and agile. Thanks to its Fiber Fly Tech construction with carbon reinforcement in the tail, you'll notice how the board responds instantly as soon as you step back.
  • Colors: White, Titanium, and Mint Green.

2. FLIGHT MODE 6’6 – Your relaxed first "shortboard"

If you're coming from a softboard but are looking for something that already feels agile and starts to embody the shortboard concept, the Flight Mode 6’6 is the perfect balance.

  • Feelings: It maintains a generous volume that aids in paddling, but its more compact size allows you to start maneuvering the board much more easily than a foamie.
  • Ideal for: Light to medium weight surfers who want to make the leap to fiberglass surfboards, seeking fun and maneuverability without complications.
  • Colors: Blue and Pink.

3. FLIGHT MODE 7’0 – The comfortable and safe transition

The 7’0 is the queen of confidence. It's a blend between a mid-length and a funboard that prioritizes stability above all else.

  • The problem it solves: It completely eliminates the frustration of changing materials. You won't notice that typical lack of balance when switching to fiberglass; you'll simply feel that your board now rides faster and cuts through the wave better.
  • Ideal for: Surfers who prioritize catching the maximum number of waves per session and progressing with absolute calm.
  • Colors: Blue and Pink.

4. MOONWALK 9’0 – Longboard style with total confidence

Are you drawn to the fluid style of a longboard but intimidated by the weight or stiffness of a classic longboard? The Moonwalk is our 9-foot hybrid proposal.

  • Who is it for? Surfers who want to get started with longboarding or who are looking for a more classic and fluid surfing style.
  • The problem it solves: The fear of dings or the lack of responsiveness of traditional longboards. The Moonwalk combines a rigid fiberglass bottom (for riding the wave) with an EVA Traction deck (soft and grippy) that doesn't require wax.
  • Feelings: Fluid and easy to trim. Its two wooden stringers give it incredible structural rigidity, allowing you to take your first steps towards the nose with confidence.
  • Colors: Fade Gold and Soft Pink.

Which of the new fiber surfboards is for you?

We know choosing can be difficult, so we're making it easy for you with this quick test based on your goals in the water:

  • "I want to start turning hard and try my first cutbacks": Your board is the Apollo 6'4. Its carbon reinforcement and compact shape will give you that extra spark you need.
  • "I weigh little, I'm coming from a 7'0 soft top and I want something more agile but that paddles well": Go for the Flight Mode 6'6. You'll notice the change in material without losing confidence.
  • "I weigh more than 80kg or I just want to play it safe and catch all the waves": The Flight Mode 7'0 is your life insurance. Total stability with the performance of fiber.
  • "I love retro style, walking on the board and smooth gliding": Without a doubt, the Moonwalk 9'0. It's the safest and most fun longboard you'll ever try.

One last tip from Flysurf experts

Remember that the transition to fiber surfboards is a milestone in any surfer's life. It's not just about aesthetics; it's the moment you start to "read" the wave differently. The new Fibertech collection is designed to make that reading clear, fluid, and above all, without the frustrating falls of ultra-technical boards.
